emily is an emerging artist, maker, and educator from Toronto, ON currently based in Montréal, QC. She graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) School of Interior Design in 2020 with specialisation in Design Fabrication.

emily’s work is informed by a curiosity for the 3D world and a captivation for its hows and whys. She is interested in the crossover of DIY and circular practices within craft, digital fabrication, and installation.

Outside of her personal practice, emily works part-time as a (remote) Programming Lead for the Design Fabrication Zone where she leverages her experience in fabrication and art education to support educational programming for students and the public. emily frequently supports artists in her community through art direction, set design, production, and web design services.

Her proudest achievement to date has been co-founding the artist collective Studio Rat in 2018 with her collaborator and long-time friend Dom Di Libero. Studio Rat is a site for independent and collaborative investigations on plastics, inflatables, and community building (three things that are more closely connected than you might imagine).
